Bill Lovelace – President of the Board of Directors

William (Bill) has been involved with CSI Ministries since 2006, serving in Jamaica. He appreciates the opportunities that CSI offers through short-term mission trips because it is an organization that strives to serve and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bill really likes the small house project and seeing the enjoyment of a Jamaican family when receiving a must needed shelter. Short-term ministries through CSI have given Bill the opportunity to serve with brothers and sisters in Christ that might not have happened if it were not for mission trips. Bill has many friends across the US because of these trips. His Jamaican friends are very dear to him! Bill was a member of the first Jamaican Great Banquet team and has served on several banquet teams since.

Bill graduated from Northwestern High School in 1969.   Bill is a licensed CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) and holds a pesticide applicator’s license having received them through continuing education credits. He drove a gas truck for 7 years serving area farmers. He raised hogs for 17 years. Bill worked in retail sales for The Andersons for over 20 years, selling chemicals and fertilizer. He did this while maintaining his own grain farming operation.  Bill currently operates Lovelace Family Farms, LLC with his wife, Janet. He is now semi-retired from The Andersons, working on an outside contract.

Bill is a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church in Kokomo, IN. He is an elder, co-chairman of the mission committee and serves on the First Impression team. He is involved in the Kokomo Great Banquet having served on the board for 3 years. Bill has served on church building and finance committees. He was instrumental in starting a t-ball program at Northwestern Schools. Bill has also coached youth basketball. He served on the Northwestern School board for 12 years and was a member of the Howard County Extension board. In 1986, Bill was awarded “Outstanding Young Farmer” in recognition of his service to the Kokomo community both professionally and civically.

Bill has been married to Janet for 45 years. They are the parents of Chad (Cheri), Brian (Kris), and Adam (Ciara). Their grandchildren are Brayden, Will, Molly, Hannah, Blake, Mady and Owen. Chad lives in Lafayette while the rest of the family reside near Kokomo.
