Mike Ginter – Jamaica Field Director
Mike traveled on his first mission trip with CSI Ministries to Jamaica in 1988. That opportunity and experience literally changed his life by broadening his world-view, meeting brothers and sisters in Christ he didn’t even know he had and rededicating his life to the Lord Jesus Christ!
CSI Ministries is family to Mike. From his first mission trip 27 years ago, he continued to travel and serve with the ministry. He has worked with most all of the American missionaries to Jamaica, Jamaican staff and Muncie staff. CSI has always been and continues to be in his thoughts, prayers, finances and relationships.
Mike has been affiliated with CSI Ministries for 27 years serving in the following positions: Team Member 1988, Team Leader 1989 – 1990, Summer Ministries Volunteer 1990 – 1993, Volunteer Field Staff 1994, Jamaican Missionary Field Staff – serving in the full-time position of Discipleship & Outreach Coordinator 1995 – 1998; Team Facilitator July – September 2000; Field Director 2003 – 2006; Advisory Board Member 2009 – 2011, and currently serving as the Jamaican Field Director since March 2015.
Mike put himself through college by delivering pizza. Since graduating, Mike worked one and a half years in sales; Three plus years with social service agencies and foster care; eight years in international adoption working with China, Hong Kong, Russia, Ukraine and Uganda, Africa. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Asbury.
Mike is a member of Camargo United Methodist Church, Mount Sterling, KY. He is the oldest of four siblings and has numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and his wonderful parents. His family has strong ties and remains extremely close, even when Mike is serving overseas in Highgate, Jamaica.
