Thursday is a bittersweet day. We are always excited to present the key to a new homeowner yet are sad to say our goodbyes.

Our VBS team finished the week learning about Timothy and that God’s Champions train more athletes. Thursday is always a special day with a time of fellowship and hot dogs with the children and members of Maranatha Church. We had approximately 95 kids plus several adults. The ladies, as always, presented entertainment after the kids went home. It is always a blessing to spend time with the ladies. They are true sisters to us.

The men spent Thursday morning helping Anna Kay move her household items to her new house. After a lunch of Jamaican patties, we went to the new house for the dedication. Dedication day is always special, but this year we were extra blessed. Anna Kay rededicated her life to Christ and has asked to be baptized!  It was a very special moment. Thanks to the generosity of others and the hard work of our construction crew, a mom and her boys slept in their new home on a new bed Thursday night!

Thursday evening brought us all together for a time of reflection and communion in the outdoor chapel. We have had a blessed week serving with the beautiful people of Jamaica.

Friday morning we will leave the mission house to travel to Montego Bay for a day of rest before flying home on Saturday. Please keep our team in your prayers as we return home. Your prayers have been instrumental in our mission this week and we extend our heartfelt thanks.
